What Makes a Good Bangkok Condo?

Bangkok Highrise CondoOne man’s palace may well be another man’s hovel of a habitat, but there are certain aspects of the condo lifestyle that the majority of Bangkok’s expats will be looking for when searching for their new home.

Just as the cheapest dwelling might not always offer the best value for money, the same can also be said for the most expensive too. In this piece we look at what makes a good Bangkok condominium.

Highrise, Low-rise, Location, Facilities?

Without any question of doubt, some of the city and river views offered by Bangkok’s highrise condominiums are absolutely breathtaking. But highrise is not everyone’s cup of tea, and nor is central city living.

Depending on whom you are and what you like, will determine what type of accommodation you opt for and where. Some of the typical items to have on a checklist include:

  • Condition
  • Neighbourhood
  • Location
  • Price (rental / purchase)
  • Proximity to transportation network
  • Age of building
  • Nearby attractions

There are or course many other things to factor into consideration, but the above items are usually on the top of most home hunter’s shortlist.

In this blog post we briefly look at five condominiums which are popular choices for expats living in Bangkok (at the time of writing), and  point out why it is that they are popular choices.

These Residences include:
